iris and blue flowers – a 2015 retrospective

So, as 2015 draws to a close and the blog is looking (to my horror and shame) distinctly void of chat or pics, I’m going to try to salvage with it a retrospective of all the lovely flowers we have created this year.  The excuse for lack of blog action is that we’ve just been too damn busy flowering to write about it!  While trawling through the many beautiful images what struck me was the different styles of arrangements we have provided, and I hope that it demonstrates how we approach each client, venue and event – with open ears, a clear head and a clean sheet, so as to create bespoke flowers especially tailored for each individual client and their occasion.  Whether it’s soft English Peonies mixed with hot (as in ‘bang on trend!) spiky cactuses for an Anglo-Mexican wedding in Hackney….or Neon Sprayed succulents in acrylic cubes for a super cool Bar Mitzvah in the city, we have ideas in abundance and will work with you to create the perfect florals to compliment your special day.

I’m also really proud of the venues that we have dressed this year which include Islington Town Hall, The Proud Archivist, The Brewery, The Spread Eagle, Fever London and Seaham Hall. These venues join a growing list of esteemed establishments that we have already worked with which include London Zoo, Shoreditch House, The Electric House, St Johns Wood Church, LSA St Lukes, Nonsuch Mansion and Somerset House. And finally, the kind words from the gorgeous people that we worked with is the thing that fills me with the most pride….here are some snippets of their lovely appreciation…

‘The flowers were amazing, they added such beauty to the day. Thank you for putting so much thought in to them and getting them just right. Thank you, thank you, thank you’. Ali, Bride

‘Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the wonderful flowers….they were perfect. The bar area looked really fabulous and glamorous, I just loved it and the candleabras were gorgeous too. I only wish I could have iris and blue flowers every week. Tree, 40th Birthday Party

‘Thank you so much for my beautiful flowers, I am so delighted. They were way beyond my expectations.’ Jo, Champagne Tea Party

‘Looking for a wedding florist? Check out @irisandblue…..so BEAUTIFUL!’ Fever London

Now with only 6 weeks to go until Christmas our attentions are turned to wreaths and designing beautiful creations to adorn doors all over North London and beyond!  Mood boards of blue spruce wreaths, decorated with dried fruits, cinamon sticks and pine cones and finished with beautiful hand dyed ribbon are being plotted and planned right now.  Watch this space.  And looking forward to 2016….sitting in my new studio doing MORE BLOGGING! xx
